The Absinthe Gempp Pernod poster, featuring one of Cappiello's happy beauties, refers to a branch operation set up in Lunel in 1850 for Edouard Pernod, Henri-Louis (Pernod)'s son by his first wife; he, in turn, passed it to his son-in-law Charles Gempp in 1880.
