A peaceful harbor and lush colors--deep blue water and green palms, muted-green and mauve foothills--make for an idyllic view of Bandol, a resort near Toulon at the Western end of the Code d Azur. The quai (today named for Charles de Gaulle) leads around to the casino, visible toward the right.
