Russian borzoi wolfhound ad for the 1911 German Dog Show.
A stately Russian wolfhound is the only canine envoy required to publicize the 1911 Great German Dog Show being held in Munichs Ausstellungspark, featuring 16 separate competitive categories. Julius Nische was a painter, etcher, graphic designer, illustrator and interior designer. In addition to being a member of the Jugend staff, he was also a member of the Deutscher Werkbund.
